This isn't southern but it's my favorite salad, from Piecora's on Capitol Hill. It's just
green leaf lettuce
artichoke hearts
olives
salami
canadian bacon
mozzerella
tomatoes
mushrooms
peppercinis

I'm scanning all my recipes and putting them where I can find them. I'm thinking it'll be a good way to share my favorite bestest stuff, and keep my southern heritage alive in the cold gray pacific northwest.
